King Abdullah’s kind gesture

I wish to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah for announcing a three-month grace period for illegal expats to correct their status. King Abdullah’s announcement came as great relief to all expatriates and was widely welcomed by Saudi business community.
Parents also had a sigh of relief as schools became fully operational after days of partial to full closures. Resumption of essential services, like sewage cleaning, water supply and clearance of fast-moving consumer goods products from the ports, brought much needed respite to both Saudis and expatriates living in the Kingdom.
I hope that all expatriates will utilize this grace period and correct their sponsorship status and other issues within the given period. I extend my good wishes for peace and prosperity of King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and the people of Saudi Arabia. — Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, Jeddah
