Samsung Electronics Co. has officially unveiled its next flagship and highly anticipated smartphone, Galaxy S4, in the Kingdom.
“The Galaxy S4 is brought to you to exceed all sort of expectations,” said Park Jae Cheon, general manager at Samsung Electronics, KSA.
He said: “We are committed to innovation and we are always out there listening to our customers’ needs and expectations around the world; so we have merged the best of class hardware and the most advanced software to offer a new benchmark in terms of smartphone innovation and ultimately provide a true life companion for our customers.”
He added: “At Samsung we’ll never stop pursuing innovation conceived by people, so we can inspire them in return.”
The long awaited smartphone is now thinner and lighter than S3 as it comes with a 5” Full HD Super AMOLED screen with a whopping 440ppi pixel with 1080X1920HP clarity weighing only 130 g and it is the first phone to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for higher screen protection.
It runs on Android Jelly Bean OS 4.2.2 beneath its very highly customized Touch Wiz UX interface; it uses a 1.6 Ghz Octa-Core Exynos 5 processor with a battery capacity of 2600 MAH.
Equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera, the Galaxy S4 also boasts a ‘Dual Camera’ function that allows simultaneous use of both front and rear cameras.
At the same time, the ‘Dual Video Call’ function enables users to make and receive a video call with friends and family while showing what you are looking at during the call.
The camera functionality extends beyond Dual Camera, as the device is also equipped with 12 outstanding shooting modes including ‘Drama Shot’, and ‘Sound & Shot’, which uniquely stores sound and voice together as the picture is taken so those special moments are captured in the truest form imaginable, exactly as they happened.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is designed with the “well-connected multitasking” idea in mind.
