Farhad Al-Sharif, senior shift leader at Riyadh’s leading ultra-luxury hotel, Al-Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, has been named “reception professional of the year”.
He received the honors at the recent Saudi Excellence in Tourism Awards (SETA).
A Saudi national, Farhad’s ambition, determination and talent have helped him carve a clear career path from front desk receptionist to his current senior management position within five years. Understanding that the hotel front desk is one of the first and often critical touch-points for guest liaison and service, Farhad ensures his team operates to the highest standards of world class hospitality and service.
“Farhad is a distinctive and highly dedicated member of the team. Al-Faisaliah Hotel is renowned for its exceptional staff and we are proud to have him in our team,” said Erich Steinbock, regional vice president for Rosewood Hotels in the Kingdom, and managing director of the Al-Faisaliah and Al-Khozama Hotels.
“Today’s Saudi generation is educated, self-confident, creative and energetic, and their ambition to succeed is matched by our commitment to developing top talent within the kingdom. The hospitality sector benefits greatly from some exceptional Saudi talent, and we are delighted to be contributing to growth of the latest generation of industry professionals.”
This is the third edition of the Saudi Excellence in Tourism Awards which was created to recognize excellence across all sectors of the travel and tourism industry within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It is run in partnership with Saudi Commission of Tourism & Antiquities (SCTA).
