Al-Faisal University honors 139 students

Al-Faisal University will hold the graduation ceremony of 139 students on Wednesday.
“The sponsorship of Riyadh Governor Prince Khalid bin Bandar represents the conclusive support given by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and the higher education sector toward quality education in the Kingdom,” said Faisal Al-Mubarak, chief academic officer at Al-Faisal University.
A total of 139 students, including 26 men and 29 women, earned a master’s degree in business administration (MBA), 17 men and eight women with undergraduate business qualifications and 25 graduating from the college of engineering.
Al-Mubarak said, “This support elevated Saudi universities in its outcome and education and shows the patronage of Prince Khalid bin Bandar and his deputy Prince Turki bin Abdullah to such social events.
Sondos Mohammad Al-Jazairy, event organizer at Al-Faisal University, said: “We are very proud of our students and delighted to see the first graduating class in science and medicine graduating. Our students are our asset. We are therefore planning to award them with a remarkable event that they will remember for the rest of their lives.”
Al-Mubarak pointed out the leading role of Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, chairman of the board of trustees at Al-Faisal University.
“His efforts took the university through a quantum leap of development and excellence through guidance and continuous support,” he added.
He said that Prince Khalid strived for Al-Faisal to acquire academic superiority that would elevate its regional ranking, scientific research and academic knowledge through its partnership with leading international universities and research centers. “This is the embodiment of the vision of the late King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz in constructing a scientific research pillar in education and development method through the support of local talent and human resources as the main drivers of social development,” he said.
Maha bint Mishrai Al-Saud, executive director for external affairs at Al-Faisal said: “We are providing best opportunity to our students in academic, co- curricular, social, and moral through high standards of teaching methodology and environment.”
She said the university is focusing on engaging students academically by teaching them the values of education, behavior and professionalism.
