Dubai's Drake & Scull International (DSI.DFM) said it is part of a joint venture that won a contract for work worth SR 522 million ($ 139 million) on the King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh.
DSI will partner with Habtoor Leighton Specon on the development, considered to be the first hospital in the Gulf region to include a Proton Therapy Centre, it said in statement posted on the Dubai Financial Market website yesterday.
The new medical facility is part of DSI's growing portfolio of high-profile health care projects in the Kingdom, the company said, which also includes a new health care facility in Damman as well as the Tabarjal Hospital, Mina Hospital and Health College.
The latest project is part of the SR 2.3 billion King Fahd Medical City, the largest and most advanced medical complex in the Middle East with a total capacity of 1,095 beds.
