Saudi Telecom Company (STC) has opened an office, described as the first of its kind in the Kingdom, dedicated to the mute, at Riyadh Mutes Club.
STC staff from the same segment serve their colleagues from the club and similar special needs customers.
The office provided with various modern telecom services was opened by Nawaf Al-Shalani, general manager of STC’s corporate communications, in the presence of a number of club officials and special needs customers who expressed their gratitude to the STC for opening the office for them.
This step is a vindication of STC’s role in CSR activities in general and its concern for the care and attention of special needs people in particular.
The initiative is also aimed to support them and assimilate them in the society, he added.
Al-Shalani stated: “We in STC are keen to give this valued segment our attention and full care. Establishing this office is one of our obligations toward a valuable group that deserves to be served. Although some of STC offices in Riyadh and other areas have employees who are dedicated for serving the special needs segment, STC is honored that 126 of its staff are from among the physically challenged who have the experience of dealing with their counterparts across the Kingdom.”
Al-Shalani affirmed in this connection the concern of STC for attracting qualified staff to optimally serve them.
“We are also keen to continue to take such major steps, and our new modern office at Riyadh Mutes Club is one such leap,” he added.
He emphasized that STC, which has a special concern for the physically challenged and supports programs and initiatives exclusively designed for them, offers them a special discount of up to 50 percent on many of its services.
