Saudi border guards have foiled attempts to smuggle 2,585 kg of hashish, 183,456 narcotic pills and 208,657 kg of qat in addition to 194 pieces of weapons and 97,236 live ammunition last month, Brig. Muhammad Al-Ghamdi, spokesman of the department said.
The border guards have arrested 77,518 intruders and 478 smugglers.
“We have not seen any decrease in the number of smuggling operations and intrusions during Ramadan,” he said.
