Batolina powers Saco to sweep of honors in Al Rabie-IBG League

Joel Batolina delivered a rock-solid performance, powering Saco to a sweep of the honors during the July 12 session in the Al Rabie-IBG Friday Afternoon Bowling League 3rd Conference at Universal Bowling Center (UBC) here.
Al-Rabie Saudi Food Industries Co., Ltd. is the sole sponsor of the tournament also supported by Thales represented by Nelson de Vera. IBG Advocates headed by Ian Choco organized the event.
Batolina, Stephen Ajera and Fernie Ballano combined to give Best Team of the Week Saco perfect 26 points on total pinfalls of 4,203 in the victory against Super Bowl which returned 10 points and total pinflalls of 3,807.
Batolina led the Saco charge by hitting an impressive four-game series scratch of 895 that gave him the Best Bowler of the Week accolade on lines of 227, 226, 222 and 220.
Ajera sealed 890 scratch series on lines of 220, 212, 265 and 193 to follow Batolina while Ballano had 876 points.
Jun Sebastian, George Sto. Domingo, Ferdie dela Rosa and Jim dela Rosa excelled too by contributing separate series of 421, 394, 388 and 339. With the win Saco tightened its grip on first place in the team standings.
At the forefront of Super Bowl team were the pair of Noel Morales and Sam Alinsod who carded 820 and 803. Freddie Solomon scored 777 while coming in next to Solomon was Ronald Cruz with 712 points. Clem Salazar downed 695 points.
Thales team of de Vera walloped Zezo posting 23 points and total team handicap output of 4,200 against Zezo’s 12 points and total team handicap output of 3,820.
Rodel Maranca shone in Thales with a series handicap of 916 in four games. Sharing the spotlight with Maranca were teammates Bembol Velasco (855), Dennis Gabriel (840), Andro Tismo (814) and Erwin Nacario (775).
Fhel Ramos and Jojo Miraflor fired separate series of 837 and 820 to be on top in Zezo. Cas Encila and Ely Fanugao knocked down separate series of 770 and 720 while Danny Trinidad and Ed Cruz contributed 347 and 326.
The exciting game between NBA and My Girl resulted in 22-12, in NBA’s favor. NBA had total team handicap output of 4,027 while My Girl registered 3,838.
Showing the way in NBA was the southpaw Ronald Bautista, who shot 864 series scratch. Next to Bautista was Art Yukong with 819 points while Mike Ecalnir, De Vera and Joe Garrido compiled 792, 785 and 766.
Leading scorers in My Girl were Archie Oliva (835), Edgar Buenaventura (800), Larry Mondoy (759), Leo Mabunga (732) and Joel Lambo (712).
Saudi Oger rolled past Angel Vipers, 21-13 thanks to Jeffrey Sobreviga (867), Edwin Quano (792), Joselito Santillan (783) and Arnold Pineda (759). Erwin Atienza and Eric Gonzales had 390 and 346.
Roll and Bowl blasted Itqan Tornado, 20-12. Ramon Chua and graceful Ruby Urrutia led Roll and Bowl by tallying separate series of 835 and 831. Butch Espinosa, Ernie Tulang and Bobby Jamora chipped in 764, 763 and 721.
Veteran Jett Cabana hammered 823 points at the vanguard of Itqan Tornado, and coming in next to him were Ruben Babasa (797), Gigi “KC” Enriquez (745), Reynald Medina (736) and Butch Mateo (720).
Itqan Tenpin Wizards won against ABB JeX 20-12 behind the good games by Ric Singson (852), Fareed Aquino (818), Doy del Moral (766), Ian Choco (737) and Thong Asuncion (708).
