Newly crowned champ Carry Over off to fine start in Almarai Bowling League 13th Conference

The Almarai-FBGR Saturday Bowling League held the awarding for the 12th Conference followed on the same night by the opening of the 13th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) here.
Leading the awardees was team champion Carry Over captained by Lulu Quejada. Prince Mohammed Sultan, Celis Viloria, Nap Torres, Beth Danganan, Abdullah Amoudi, Fahd Al-Adzlan, Jerry Damiray, Bembol Velasco and Dennis Gabriel are the members of the winning team.
Almarai Co. of Emerson Mitra received the first runner-up trophy with Nadec Strokers mentored by Lope Ramirez second runner-up.
In the team awards Alinma Bank clinched the high series with handicap while Eraserheads romped off with three namely high series scratch, high game with handicap and high game scratch.
The individual awards for high series with handicap, high series scratch, high game with handicap and high game scratch went to Glenn Dela Cruz, Joe Garrido, Koko Torres and Jess Ambon in that order.
The tournament Most Valuable Player was Andro Tismo and Most Improved Player was Koko Torres. The Battle of Elite champion was Jove Marano with Arnold Jesena first runner-up and MS second runner-up.
In the Battle of Noble C & D the champion was Ahmad Al-Qarquosh, first runner-up Angel Caasi and second runner-up Paul Decena. Perfect 300 game awardees were Jess Ambon and Koko Torres.
After the awards ceremony, newly crowned champion Carry Over buckled down to work to capture a Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week double courtesy of Celis Viloria on the 1st week of the 13th Conference.
With Viloria at the helm shooting the night’s high series of 913 points on lines of 210, 256, 246 & 201 Carry Over crushed Alinma Bank 22-13.
Viloria got splendid support from MS 861 with Sam Alinsod on 456, Lulu Quejada 377, Abdullah Amoudi 365, Rodel Maranca 355, Nap Torres 351 and Bembol Velasco 347.
For Alinma Bank at the helm was Jess Ambon 840 followed by Jojo De Silva 786, Fareed Aquino 782, Bernie Torres 748 and Leo Mabunga 737 points.
Rookie “Team Irene” mentored by Dhong Yamco beat Nadec Strokers of Lope Ramirez 21-13. Lady Dee Urbano led the team with 830 points followed by Shawn Ricketts 787, KC Enriquez 784, Jao Urbano 771, Irene Pua 420 and Dong Yamco 356.
FBGR mentored by Mike Ecalnir recorded a 17-9 victory against the Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia Jr. Leading scores in FBGR was Jett Cabana 807 points followed by Benito Santos 745, James Boyd 728 and Emerson Mitra 694 while Bobby Jamora and Joel Lambo scored an identical 386.
In another match, Sweet Angel Vipers captained by Angel Caasi demolished the young ones Thales of Ryan Iñigo 14-6. Koko Torres led the Vipers with 780 points and he was supported by Ruel Pingol 691, Fernie Ballano 660, and Jun Balubayan 571. Nelson Respicio added 364, Sereno Dawood 362 and Reiner Torres 174.
In other matches, IBG Storm of Ric Singson defeated Almarai Co. of Paul Decena 22-8, United Global of Arnel Balaoro dumped RG512 for Clothes of Yasser Mohammad 19-7, and Look Up Boys of Ronald Bautista beat Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad 19-11.
