An estimated 7.5 million expatriates have amended their professions and 1.085 million have transferred their services during the past four months, according to Lt. Col. Ahmad Alluheidan, spokesman for the Passport Department.
Alluheidan said the Passport Department completes all applications upon receiving them and no documents are delayed. “The aim is save time and effort of beneficiaries, so they can finish their documents in one go,” he said.
Each Passport Department office attempts to provide the best services according to its own system, he said.
“Instructions about correction are clear and have been published throughout the media. There could be some rumors about conflicting instructions from those who want to complete their procedures in a contradictory manner to the correction rules,” he added.
When the amnesty period ends, the Passport Department will apply the system against violators who didn’t correct their status, he said.
