Prince Faisal honors Qur’an memorizers

Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman received Abdullah bin Ali Basfar, secretary-general of the International Qur’an Memorization Organization, and a number of children who have memorized the Qur’an.
Basfar thanked the Saudi government for its generous support to his organization that has helped thousands to memorize the holy book across the world.
He also thanked Prince Faisal for supporting IQMO’s activities and honoring Qur’an memorizers. Turkish Consul General Fikret Ozer and Pakistani Consul General Aftab Ahmed Khokher attended the meeting.
The IQMO recently organized its annual award distribution ceremony in Jeddah. The ceremony was attended by delegates of Qur’anic organizations from different parts of the world.
“This is for the sixth time we are holding this award ceremony in order to honor outstanding personalities who have made tremendous contributions in the service of the Qur’an, in order to encourage others,” said Basfar.
