Jaguars Badminton Club is organizing the Jaguars Badminton Open Series 2013 Tournament set to start Aug. 16 at the Olympia Sports Center courts.
Sarawat Superstores has agreed to be the major sponsor of this badminton event. Other sponsors which have also confirmed support to the tournament are Al Wessal Marketing Company, Solafah Trading Company, Ltd., Alesayi Motors and Bupa Arabia.
The month-long tournament will be divided into different levels according to the ability of the players. Hundreds of players of different nationalities are expected to participate.
A badminton club chairmen's meeting was called by Jaguars' chairman and tournament director Gerry Rabang and officers that include Vice Chairman Manny dela Cruz, Secretary Michael Martin, Technical Head Rupertson Ng, Technical Assistant Rey Capatoy, Finance Officer Vince Petilla, Auditor Reynald dela Cruz, Public Relations Officer Chito Villas and Adviser Reggie Galicha.
Club chairpersons who attended confirmed their support and participation. More clubs are expected register for the tournament after further announcements through media and posters are finalized. Ng explained the game format and rules and regulations that will be implemented.
Jaguars Badminton Club, founded in 2006, has already organized six successful tournaments.
