Riyadh police arrested 25 people with charges of street drifting, according to Northern Border police Col. Bandar Al-Aydaa.
He said it is important that information on places frequented for joy riding, or street drifting, must be available so that the necessary procedures be taken to handle the matter, and to implement a plan already in place to address such practices.
“We have succeeded in confiscating a number of cars following joint efforts of the secret and public traffic patrols, the patrols of the security forces and the special forces of the regional police,” Al-Aydaa said. “With these efforts and the information available, we managed to move from one place to another where joy riders hang about, and took possession of the cars, while the Traffic Department in Arar implemented the related regulations in this regard.”
