Indian Ambassador to hoist flag on Thursday

The Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia Hamid Ali Rao will hoist the national flag on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. on the occasion of 67th Independence Day of India at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh’s diplomatic quarter.
The embassy’s spokesperson Surinder Bhagat said all members of the Indian community in the Kingdom and friends of India were cordially invited to grace the occasion.
India shares cordial relations with Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom hosts a large Indian community.
The 1.4-million strong Indian diaspora in Saudi Arabia constitutes not only the largest expatriate group in the Kingdom but also the largest concentration of Indian passport holders anywhere in the world.
