Ahmad bin Obeid Al-Taifi, director-general of the Department of Zakat and Income Tax (DZIT) in Jeddah, said the department’s branches will introduce an electronic service next month.
The system will offer submission of Zakat estimates and calculate Zakat electronically for companies and establishments.
Saleh bin Ali Al-Awaji, deputy general director for DZIT for supportive services, visited the department’s branch in Riyadh and Jeddah to oversee progress on this front.
Al-Taifi said the department made quantum leaps in activating and developing comprehensive government processes in line with the royal directives and developments of the business sector, in addition to facilitating procedures.
Other types of statements will be launched soon to finalize a comprehensive electronic service system enabling the department’s employees to register, file and pay electronically, in addition to providing other services.
The department also provides certificates through its special mail service and calls on tax payers to benefit from these services by visiting its website www.dzit.gov.sa.
