Government employees and students will get two-day holidays to mark the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations.
A royal decree to this effect has been issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.
Citizens and expatriates have welcomed the royal gesture, which will effectively allow them to enjoy four days of holidays — Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. (Sept. 20 to Sept. 23)
“As this year’s National Day (Sept. 23) falls on the second day of the work-week, Sunday has been declared a holiday for government employees as well as students of all academic levels,” the decree said.
