Major jewelry retailer Joyalukkas launched a special initiative in Riyadh to commemorate and honor teachers for their outstanding contribution to society and for their invaluable work in nurturing children’s mind and thinking.
Twenty teachers were shortlisted based on the recommendation of the respective schools for this commemoration event. The ceremony was held at the Joyalukkas Riyadh showroom and Roju Mathew, managing committee member of International Indian School Riyadh, was the chief guest who honored the 20 teachers shortlisted for the commemoration.
“We are celebrating the exemplary work of the teachers of Saudi Arabia. Teachers are the backbone of our society since they play a huge role in grooming and nurturing children for their future. Hence we strongly felt celebrating and commemorating them would be huge honor for us,” said Joy Alukkas, chairman and MD, Joyalukkas Group.
The global jewelry chain currently operates 3 showrooms in the Kingdom — located in Riyadh, Jeddah and Alkhobar. Joyalukkas Jewellery has major plans to expand its presence in the Kingdom since it has received an overwhelming response in the country.
“Joyalukkas is not only about selling jewelry, we also stand for innovative and unique initiatives that make people feel special. We decided to celebrate teachers here during the teachers day celebration since we felt they deserved this for their huge contribution to society,” said John Paul, Joy Alukkas executive director, Joyalukkas Group.
The internationally renowned retail chain is also one of the few retail chains to be recognized with many awards and accolades for its exceptional standards in retailing. It’s popular jewelry showroom in Chennai has been recognized by the Limca Book of records for being the largest jewelry showroom in the world. Joyalukkas has also been awarded the Superbrand status for 4 years in a row in the UAE.
