We, Muslims, vehemently condemn not only this attack but also all such attacks carried out around the globe by sick-minded people using the name of Islam. Such actions show that people affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the likes have utterly failed in understanding the teachings of Islam. Islam is a religion of peace and harmony and does not advocate killing of an innocent in the name of Jihad.
As a matter of fact, even in the event of a war Muslims are not allowed to attack or harm unarmed civilians, old age people, women, religious places and greenery.
And these people are going in the exact opposite direction and try to portray themselves as the protectors of faith. These people should be ashamed of themselves and must repent. I urge all the respected religious scholars to educate the masses in general and the youth in particular on the true aspect of Jihad so as to keep them from falling into the traps of these deviant people. — Mahmood Khan, Jubail
