Replacement repeats as Team of the Week

The Replacement cashed in on a chance against the bye team to win its second Team of the Week award in the OFBC 3 + 1 Friday Afternoon League 2nd Season at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.
In a low-scoring week The Replacement returned the top figures of 24 points, 20 match points and 4 rank points on total pinfalls of 1,616.
RJ Transient Houses and league leader Red Dragons shared the first two rank points at 7.5 each after both carded identical total pinfalls of 1,771 in their match that ended 12-8 to Rudy Jamon’s Transient Houses. RJ wound up with total win points of 19.5 and Red Dragons with 15.5.
The Youngsters Revival scored a masterful 18-2 victory over Pairs & Spares on total pinfalls of 1,673-1,601, rank points of 5-3 and total win points of 23-5.
Versatile Guys also delivered a strong performance in beating Makati Foods 15-5 (1,594-1,704 6-2 21-7).
The individual race for Bowler of the Week went to Dragons’ Tom Langa on the men’s side and RJ’s Malou Nidoy on the ladies division. Langa shot 623 and Nidoy 657.
Bowling pressure-free, Replacement netted 558 and 553 from Fedelyn Bustinera and Jun Ejanda. Team captain Khalid Bustinera added 143-146 and Jayme Lugue had 158.
Youngsters built their total from the trio of Vic Gonzales, Toto Lim and Vangie Lim who rolled 581, 568 and 524 in that order, while Versatile Guys had Joel Alegre on 554, Tirso Bambalan on 165-189, Danny Atubang on 145-142 and Danny Francisco on 153-166.
Besides Malou the other scorers at RJ were Jack Jarin 545, Joel Nidoy 165-211 and Ric Tibayan 153.
Bash Langa and Thong Mujeeb Langa backed up Tom with 579 and 166 respectively while Arman Gamboa contributed 160-147 for the Dragons.
With three weeks to play in the eliminations the Red Dragons and Replacement looked safe bets to advance as the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the stepladder final with the third spot a toss-up between RJ and Youngsters.
