CAIRO: Egypt’s interim President Adly Mansour will visit Saudi Arabia on Oct. 7, his first official foreign visit since he came to power on July 4, Al-Ahram reported Thursday.
Mansour will meet with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, Crown Prince Salman and Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, sources told Al-Ahram.
Mansour will also make brief trips to the UAE and Kuwait.
Mansour, the former head of the Egypt’s High Constitutional Court, was sworn in as interim president in accordance with the demands of the Tamarod Movement, the youth group that spearheaded the protests leading to Muhammad Mursi’s removal.
