Zubaida Ahmad Mosly, wife of Ahmed Ali Mosly, announced the launch of the book “Ahmad Mohamed Ali Mosly: Man of the national economy” under the patronage of Princess Lulwa Al-Faisal, at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Jeddah to pay tribute to his services toward the country.
Mosly said that Sheikh Ahmed Mosly was one of the pioneers of the economic movement in the country, serving as undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for national economy with the rank of minister during the reign of the late King Abdul Aziz, founder of Saudi Arabia.
She said that the book will highlight the life and achievements of Sheikh Ahmed Mosly and his family, as well as significant parts of his career, including the various positions he held, starting from the municipality of Makkah to the Ministry of Finance with the Minister Sheikh Abdullah Sulaiman.
The book is jointly authored by Zubaida Mosly, Nadia Sheikh and Abdul Maqsood Bajaber.
She said the book also contains Mosly’s intellectual contribution along with articles he had written for economic development, as well as some literary reproductions, which focus on commiseration poetry and prose.
It also highlights the life of the eldest son of Sheikh Ahmad Mosly, Muhammad Ali, who died at the young age of 32, but left his footprints in the business world.
She said the book also includes a handful of memoirs written by family members regarding Sheikh Ahmed Mosly, his two brothers and Muhammed Ali.
