West Elm makes Saudi debut

West Elm, the home furnishings retailer known for helping people express their personal style at home has opened the first franchise retail store in Saudi Arabia, operated by Alshaya International Trading Co.
The store is located on Tahlia Street in Jeddah’s luxurious shopping district and offers customers a range of furniture and home decor showcased in inspirational and artistic product and lifestyle displays designed to make shopping an easy and enjoyable experience.
As part of the brand’s launch activities, West Elm has announced a special weekend event during which customers can save on every purchase made in-store.
Originating in Brooklyn, New York in 2002, West Elm has since become a favorite destination for design lovers across North America, the Middle East and Australia. Key to West Elm’s popularity is a focus on design that reflects a variety of global styles. The brand mixes clean lines, natural textures and handcrafted collections to create authentic, affordable and approachable pieces for modern living.
The extensive product range includes furniture for bedroom, living, dining and outdoor spaces in addition to a wide range of home accessories for bed and bath, living space decor and tableware to provide special finishing touches. “We’re thrilled to work with the team at Alshaya International Trading Co. to open our first West Elm in Jeddah,” said Jim Brett, president West Elm.
Each season, the brand’s talented in-house team of designers creates a collection that can only be found at West Elm stores, and works with artists and independent designers and craft communities to develop exclusive collaborations. The brand also offers handmade and one-of-a-kind discoveries from the communities in which their stores are located, and around the world.
