The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) held a meeting under the leadership of Saeed Ahmad to discuss the group’s recent visit to Pakistan and Saudi-Pakistan relationship.
Addressing Pakistani entrepreneurs and PML-N leaders, Ahmad said, “PML-N will continue its efforts in Saudi Arabia for the security, development and prosperity of Pakistan.”
“Our recent visit to Pakistan was very successful. We met President Mamnoon Hussain, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and other senior government officials to discuss the new turn in Saudi-Pak relationship,” he said.
He added: “We also discussed the Saudi-Pakistan trade and investment opportunities with the president and briefed him on the development and issues faced by the Pakistani community in the Kingdom.”
“The Pakistani president welcomed and appreciated the services extended by the Pakistani community in the Kingdom to strengthen Saudi-Pakistan relations,” Ahmad said.
Chaudhary Faryad, a Riyadh-based Pakistani entrepreneur also met with Sadiq. During their meeting they discussed the latest problems faced by the community in the Kingdom as well as the subject of the Pakistan International School. The speaker of the National Assembly assured the delegation of his full cooperation and the government’s support. He also said that effective measures would be carried out promptly with regards to the school issue.
In a related development, the Pakistan government recently invited Saudi-based Pakistani businessmen to invest in the energy sector.
President Mamnoon Hussain also held a luncheon meeting with the Pakistan Investors Forum (PIF) team, which included, Chairman Khalid Mehmood Chaudhary, President Asghar Qureshi, Riyadh-based entrepreneurs Chaudhary Faryad, Amjad Saddiqui and Shamshad Ali Siddiqui.
