Kumho Tires, South Korea’s prominent tire manufacturer, has launched its new franchise concept called Platinum Club in Saudi Arabia.
“We are proud to be the first in the region to implement Kumho’s new franchise concept via three reputable partners — in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam,” said Amir Khurshid, GM, TSC, Kumho’s sole Saudi representative.
Kumho’s newly established franchise partners include: Yumna East Center for Tire and Oil, Dammam-Alkhobar Highway; Mohammad Omar Bawazir Est. Dar ul Itarat, Old Industrial Area, Al-Kharaj Road, Riyadh; and Hamam Hassan Ahmad, Kilo.2, Old Makkah Road, Jeddah.
“Platinum Club is a premium concept that will provide a better tire changing experience to our customers. We do plan to further enhance the network and also add more services to it. Due to its enormous potential, Saudi Arabia is a very important market for us,” said Minseok Lee, GM, Kumho Tires.
Hassan Al-Masri, a franchise manager, said: “I was impressed with the franchise’s modern outlook and the professional services offered by TSC’s new team and decided to join hands with Kumho. I am confident of the product quality and look forward to providing services of the highest standards through our trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment.”
Kumho produced its first tire more than 50 years ago in 1961 and became a global player in a short span offering a full range of tires for passenger and commercial vehicles.
Due to its high safety standards, Kumho claims it is becoming increasingly popular among top car manufacturers such as GM, Ford, Mercedes Benz, BMW and Chrysler, aside from Hyundai, KIA and SsangYong.
