UTB’s Media Officer Seif Al-Soulame told Arab News that Deloitte & Touche was among the top four accounting and financial services firms in the world. The agreement between the two will facilitate lectures and training workshops on topics related to accounting, auditing, zakat and income tax, for the club members, besides scientific seminars and professional introduction by Deloitte for the students.
The company will also provide material support for the activities of the club, and training of students in the company. It will give away awards and certificates to the students, which will be a motivation, besides offering employment to them after graduation from the university.
He explained that the sponsorships and agreements were part of the UBT’s plans to encourage young people in the labor market through their involvement in the professional field before graduating from the university.
“We want to ensure that they have access to vocational training at the highest level with international companies as part of our social responsibility toward the youth of this country, which constitutes 70 percent of the population,” he added.
