A total of 48,228 students of both genders have applied to study at Colleges of Excellence (CoE) in the Kingdom, with 5,000 already accepted, according to the company's chief executive officer.
“In our drive to accommodate the largest number of students, the CoE has opened its doors for the third academic year in some faculties. This move will provide sufficient time for those interested in studying at our colleges across the Kingdom,” said Saleh Al-Amr during enrolment here recently.
The CoE is a state education program covering various cities, aimed at providing graduates for the labor market. Enrollment kicked off last month and ends this week.
He said the CoE provides specialist training, including Mondragon Colleges for Boys, which offers courses in business administration, information technology, engineering, agriculture and food production.
Lauriat Makkah and Al-Kharj Colleges for girls provide business administration, financial services, fashion, sales, communication, tourism, hospitality and entertainment courses.
Other colleges with similar courses include institutions in Riyadh, Buraidah, and the Lauriat Colleges for boys in Jeddah. The study period lasts for three years, he said.
