Twenty-six new technical colleges will be opened in different parts of the Kingdom this year, said Fahd Al-Otaibi, spokesman of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).
“We are planning to set up 36 technical colleges, including 18 for women, of which 26 will begin operating this year,” he said. “TVTC offers training courses to meet local job market requirements,” he said.
Al-Otaibi emphasized his organization’s efforts to find jobs for TVTC graduates. “Our mission does not stop at training the national cadre, but extends to finding jobs for them through various programs and agreements,” he said.
The TVTC has set up a portal for employers to recruit its graduates. “About 90 companies and establishments have so far registered with the website,” the spokesman said.
The corporation also conducts various programs to enable graduates to find jobs while attending training courses. “More than 5,000 graduates have so far benefited from these programs,” he said.
“We have also introduced another course to prepare graduates to enter the job market and about 21,500 have benefited from this program so far,” he said. The organization has set up 121 offices across the Kingdom to assist its graduates in finding jobs.
