Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati said her party will not support Narendra Modi-led government at the Center. She said Bharatiya Janata Party will not be able to form the government as there is no “Modi wave” in the country. Talking to Arab News she said, “I want to make it clear that BSP will not extend any kind of support to NDA at any cost.”
She said Modi is creating confusion among the minority community, that is going to vote for us. “Jayalalitha, Mamata Banerjee and Mulayam Singh Yadav may all support the BJP or NDA but not me,” she said. She also accused the BJP of trying to damage the “BSP movement” and cited the case of disproportionate assets slapped against her by the previous NDA government as an example. A BJP-BSP alliance had assumed power in Uttar Pradesh in 2002.
She warned her party cadre to be wary of opinion polls and news channels.
