This is with reference to the article “May 15: Nakba or defeat?” (May 14) by Abdulateef Al-Mulhim. The writer has raised important issues. To better understand a nation, one should read its literature. It gives an idea about the current trends and how that particular people are thinking on various issues. I believe that the Palestinians should forge unity among their ranks and must deal with the issue setting aside all emotions. Emotions sometimes obstruct rational thinking. They must move ahead to resolve the issue.
