Germany is hosting its 7th catalog show, featuring 25 of its companies at Asharqia Chamber in Dammam.
The who, which represents construction, engineering, fashion and lifestyle, communication, environment, chemical, infrastructure, industries, medical, petrochemical, recycling, security technology, water, wastewater, consulting and food, opened on Monday.
The exhibiting companies are looking for new Saudi business partners at the event, which ends on Tuesday (May 27). Germany hosted its first event — German Breakfast and Catalogue Show — in Riyadh on Sunday (May 25).
This event continued in Dammam on Monday and will move to Jubail on Tuesday and to Manama on Wednesday (May 28).
The opening ceremony in Riyadh was held by Andreas Hergenroether, delegate of German Industry and Commerce for Saudi-Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen; Khalid Al-Otaibi, secretary general of the Council of Saudi Chambers, and Michael Ohnmacht, acting ambassador of Germany in Riyadh.
“Today’s catalog show is not just a presentation of German products and service but also a proof of the long lasting and sustainable business relations of our two countries,” Hergenroether said.
“The German economy is not only an important trade partner for Saudi Arabia, but equally an important technology and know-how supplier for the Saudi businesses.”
The combined German Breakfast & Catalogue Show, organized by the German Saudi-Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (AHK Saudi Arabia), has been termed as a huge success over the last 10 years.
Since 2004, AHK Saudi Arabia is hosting this exclusive event for business guests covering various industries and also the public sector.
The event is supported by platinum sponsors Lufthansa, DHL Express and Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski, and institutional sponsor EDB-Economic Development Board Bahrain as well as automotive sponsor Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors BMW.
