Loving one’s job

This is with reference to the article “To love, or not to love one’s job” by Saad Al-Dosari (May 26). It was a good read. The writer has tried to draw a fine line between the real and fantasy world. I also know many people who are heavily influenced by some so-called life coaches and motivational speakers. I don’t think that we should reject or oppose everything those experts say but we should think practically before following their advice.
Every country and every society is different. An approach that might work in the United States or to be more precise in the developed countries, might not work in developing countries.
People should not blindly follow such people. It is true that love for a profession increases the chances of an individual to excel in that field. But it is easier said than done. In our part of the world, there are many factors that shape our lives like our family responsibilities, lack of social safety nets and financial constraints etc. So, the next time while watching such videos, think and analyze rationally.
