Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari and Saudi Ambassador to the US Adel Jubeir visited the pavilion of Saudi Arabian Airlines at the career day organized by the Saudi Cultural Attache in Washington to mark the graduation of the seventh batch of Saudi students who were studying at US universities under the King Abdullah Foreign Scholarship Program.
Abdul Aziz Al-Hazmi, acting director general of Saudia, praised Al-Anqari and the Saudi cultural attache Mohammed Al-Eissa for their continuous support for Saudi students abroad.
He also congratulated the graduates, especially those who have made outstanding academic achievements. “Saudia will continue to participate in such career days to recruit more national cadre to the national carrier,” Al-Hazmi told the ceremony.
Saudia offered 50 free tickets to the graduates including 10 first class tickets for doctorate degree holders, 15 business class tickets for those who have obtained master degrees and 25 guest class tickets to bachelor degree holders.
It also offered 65 tickets to outstanding students nominated by the attache.
Omar bin Abdullah Jefri, executive vice president for joint services at Saudia, said the airline would recruit 300 graduates including 50 female graduates for the IT and finance jobs.
