JEDDAH: Pak Shaheen, Stallions emerged champions from their respective zones in the Saudi ORIX cricket tournament organized by the Riyadh Cricket Association, here.
In the semifinals, Shaheen got the better of King Faisal Specialist Hospital Blues by 7 wickets in the Al-Kharj Zone.
In the Huraymala Zone, Stallions edged past Hyderabadi Warriors by 4 wickets while Pak Eagles outclassed Kingdom Warriors by 7 wickets.
Pak Shaheen won the toss and elected to field. However, to their dismay KFSH were off to a flying start through Nadeem Babar (59) and Nasir Abbasi (31). After the loss of both openers Qaiser Hussain consolidated his team’s position with a well-played innings of 70 runs. Later, Irshad Mubashir propped up the inning with a quick fire 21 in the team’s total of 242 for 7. Ateeq, Abdul Wahab, and Abdul Salam took 2 wickets each.
In reply Pak Shaheen chased aggressively. Ishaq Ahmed (81) and Abdul Salam (79) played winning knocks. Earlier, Abdul Wahab (24) and Ateeq (26) laid a good foundation. Saheen achieved their target with 7 wickets in hand.

In the Huraymala Zone, Warriors batted first against Stallions and put up a total of 165. Imroz (42), Mohammed (26) and Shahnawaz (25) were the main contributors. Aamir picked 2 wickets.
Stallions achieved their target off 16.1 overs. Openers Junaid Khan (56) and Sohail Zafar (66) were instrumental in their team’s big win. Adeel (24) then finished off with the required runs.

In the Riyadh Zone, Kingdom Warriors were bowled out for 128. Wahidullah was the wreck-in-chief who picked 4 wickets while Aftab and Altaf got 2 each. Pak Eagales raced to their target in 11.5 overs. Altaf (55) and Wahidullah (33) were the main scorers.
