Ekis-6, Gime and Bengco share stage in FDBG Friday League

Ekis-6 vaulted from fifth to second place behind the leading 691 by Zaldy Bacero and ladies Bowler of the Week Malou Gime’s 601 during the third session of the Filipino Expatriate Damayan Bowling Group Friday Morning Bowling League 15th tournament at the Bowling City here.
Ekis dominated the session with sets of 1118, 1282 and 1108 to be the Team of the Week with a total of 3508 that boosted its running total to 10313, right behind league-leader FB Rhinos 10372.
Bacero put togher scratch games of 210, 237 and 244 while Gime had games with handicap of 186, 214 and 201. Team captain Ernie Geslani, Jimmy Mandingiado, Faisal Relativo and Alma Bacero completed the Ekis production with respective shares of 551, 558, 536 and 571.
Second best scorer of the week were Pin Crushers with team chief Jay Bengco leading by example as he clinched the men’s Bowler of the Week award on 704.
Pin Crushers submitted team output of 3485 on sets of 1182, 1125 and 1178 with Bengco rolling sterling games 216, 246 and 242 and Jimmy Urbano and Rudy Valenzuela contributing 627 and 615. Urbano had rounds of 217, 194 and 216 while Valenzuela tallied 190, 204 and 221. The rest of Pin Crushers’ output was shared by Dariel Loquias, Edu Toledo and Aileen Miralbuna at 1539.
BCT Ball Care Team also submitted convincing games to be third-best this week on 3428 thanks mainly to team captain Emil Payongayong and Nezar Alhamwi who posted 635 and 624 respectively.
Payongayong sparkled with 257 in Game 2 where Alhamwi carded 227 for BCT’s sets of 1085, 1211 and 1182. Jun Pingan, Eloisa Fernandez, Ryan Conde and Pip R. Planas combined for 2169. BCT now has computed total of 10167 at sixth spot.
In other results, Fine Boys FB Rhinos scored 3399, Micah’s Pride 3377, Cool Guys 3351, HAL Falcon Bowers 3311, Lance & 3rdy 3266, Shawly Bowlers 3259 and Cristal HQ 3146.
