Protect stranded Pakistanis

It is indeed sad to read about the slaughter of Pakistanis stranded in Bangladesh for over five decades. I strongly condemn the atrocities committed against them. Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should take immediate measures for the protection of these patriotic people. I urge the government to devise a plan for the repatriation and rehabilitation of the stranded people at the earliest.
Pakistan’s Higher Commissioner in Dhaka should be ordered to take all necessary steps to ensure protection of the Biharis and should seek support from the Bangladesh government in this regard. Until the repatriation of these people to Pakistan, ample security steps should be taken around the camps.
Since the Rabita Trust is no longer functional, there is a need for the creation of a new organization with the help from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the UNHCR. That organization should organize and oversee the repatriation and rehabilitation of these people.
