Keeping an eye on the weather forecasts, and developing a plan for days of high to extreme temperature is essential in ensuring that animals will have sufficient shade and water on those very hot days. Zoos around the world are being creative to save the animals from the summer heat; by providing iced foods such as frozen fruits and meat to help the animals feel cool and fresh during the hot summer days.
