BLOOMINGTON, Indiana: Christian Watford scored 21 points, Cody Zeller had 19 points and 19 rebounds, and No. 1 Indiana routed Central Connecticut State 100-69 on Saturday.
The Hoosiers (9-0) dominated on both ends of the floor.
They opened the game by making 15 of their first 21 shots and finished at 54.2 percent for the game.
Indiana was even more impressive on defense, holding Kyle Vinales, the nation’s No. 1 scorer at 25.9 points, to just 3-of-15 shooting and seven points. Matt Hunter led the Blue Devils (4-4) with 40 points.
The Hoosiers grabbed control with a 22-2 run that gave them a 37-16 lead with 8:30 to play in the first half.
UCLA 65 Texas 63: In Houston, Jordan Adams scored 18 points and UCLA closed the game on a 13-2 run to defeat Texas.
Adams converted a three-point play to tie the game at 61 with 1:15 remaining, and found Kyle Anderson in transition to put the Bruins (6-3) up three points with 25 seconds left.
Jonathan Holmes made a layup with 6.3 seconds left to pull the Longhorns within one point, but the Bruins held on for the win.
Cameron Ridley led Texas (5-4) with 14 points.
The game was played at Reliant Stadium, home to the NFL’s Houston Texans, as part of a Texas-UCLA men’s and women’s doubleheader billed as the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Showcase. Despite a tight game and a wild finish, the nationally-televised game struggled to live up to its preseason hype between the now unranked teams, and was played in front of an announced crowd of 2,797.
Texas State 73 UT-Pan American 58: In San Marcos, Texas, Matt Self led a parade of double-figures scorers with 21 points and Texas State defeated Texas-Pan American.
Texas State (4-5) also got 12 points from Joel Wright, 11 points from Reid Koenen and 10 points from Vonn Jones.
Wright also had nine rebounds and Jones had eight assists.
Jesus Delgado led Texas-Pan American (2-7) with 13 points and Brandon Provost added 12.
No. 4 Syracuse 108 Monmouth 56: In Syracuse, N.Y., Michael-Carter Williams had 15 points and a career-high 16 assists, C.J. Fair had 14 points and 10 rebounds, the second straight double-double for both players, and No. 4 Syracuse beat Monmouth of New Jersey.
Syracuse (8-0) has won 28 straight home games, the longest streak in the nation, and 50 straight nonconference games in the regular season. Monmouth (5-5), which had won four of five, is 0-42 against teams from the Big East.
Carter-Williams, who also had five steals and four blocks, has reached double digits in assists five times and his 83 assists are 29 more than he had his entire freshman season.
His total for the game was the third-highest in school history, behind only Sherman Douglas (22) and Pearl Washington (18).
No. 8 Arizona 66 Clemson 54: In Clemson, S.C., Mark Lyons scored a season-high 20 points and No. 8 Arizona used a late second-half run to improve to 7-0 for the first time in 14 years with a victory over Clemson.
The Wildcats squandered a 14-point lead and were down 42-36 after Rod Hall’s 3-pointer with 12:07 remaining.
That’s when Arizona got moving with a 25-7 run that put the game away. Solomon Hill and Lyons began the charge with two free throws each.
Brandon Ashley’s layup tied the game moments later. Lyons then found a wide-open Kaleb Tarczewski for a layup that put the Wildcats ahead to stay.
When Lyons went in for a layup with 2:19 remaining, the Wildcats were ahead 61-49.
Clemson (5-3) scored just two field goals in the final 8:45. Milton Jennings led the Tigers with 15 points in his return from a two-game suspension because of a drug arrest.

Georgia Southern 79 Brewton-Parker 56: In Statesboro, Georgia, Eric Ferguson scored 18 points to lead five Georgia Southern players in double figures as the Eagles shot a blistering 70.4 percent in the first half of a win over Brewton-Parker.
The Eagles (3-5), who snapped a three-game losing streak, were 19 of 27 from the field before the break, with Ferguson hitting 6 of 7 and Cleon Roberts and C.J. Reed both making 4 of 5. Roberts took all of his field goal attempts from beyond the arc.
Georgia Southern led 16-4 early and 48-24 at intermission, then cooled off to 47.6 percent (10 of 21) in the second half as Brewton-Parker (2-10), an NAIA program, outscored the Eagles 32-31.
