Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s shoot-to-kill policy, Israel’s illegal settlements, its human rights violations, and its theft of Palestinian land for over 60 to 70 years are ongoing while the world watches helplessly. The UN too remains a spectator as Palestinian homes are demolished and those living in Gaza are deprived of basic amenities such as electricity and water. Now a peace agreement with Palestinians seems remote.
Amid this situation, US President-elect Donald Trump has made his son-in-law Jared Kushner his White House adviser.
US President Barak Obama recently said: “You can’t manage the White House like a family business.”
You must respect institutions and processes to make good decisions, because you are inherently reliant on others. Thus Trump has to rely mostly on his son-in-law. While Netanyahu is preoccupied with his corruption scandal, is there any hope for the helpless Palestinians?
