Wasalak 40’s goes 5-0 in Titan Watch–JBL basketball tilt

JEDDAH: Wasalak 40’s of Teddy Soriano defeated JDC Veterans 105-90 for their fifth straight win in the 40 and above division in the Titan Watch-JBL Invitational Basketball Tournament at the Khalidia court here.
Wasalak played good defense in the final quarter to defuse JDC Veterans' offense. Aquino top-scoref with 26 points for Wasalak 40’s and was adjudged as the Titan Watch Best Player of the game while Garcia scored 31 points for JDC Veterans.

This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan Watch of Al Hussaini & Al Yahya Investment Group (Othman Al-Hussaini). The co-sponsors are Giordano Fashions (Ahmadullah), Red Line Diner (Francis Odinar Magat) and Ric Printing .

R Printing 40’s of Migz Diaz beat Eagles 114-103. R Printing’s offense was unstoppable in the fourth quarter. Padilla had 21 points for R Printing 40’s and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Donald Dolloso chipped in 44 points for the Eagles.

In the Weak A Division, Al-Arabi Décor of Norman Quito defeated Thunders 92-79. Al-Arabi wisely played its offense in the whole game. Thunders missed important jumpers. De Boss collected 25 points for Al-Arabi and was adjudged as the JBL Best Player of the game while Acub led the Thunders with 28 points.

Sunbullah Meat Section beat ICHTHUS 121-103. Sunbullah showed fighting heart in the final quarter as ICHTHUS kept coming back in the game. Pasugnod scored 35 points for Sunbullah and was adjudged as the TITAN Watch Best Player of the game while Carbonnel top-scored with 37 points for ICHTHUS.

R Printing of Ric Santos defeated Movenpick 91-68 in the Weak B Division. R Printing took advantage of an off night to Movenpick. Jong and Guerrero scored 17 and 16 points respectively for R Printing and were adjudged as the JBL Best players of the game while Caneta had 18 points for Movenpick.

Team Violet of coach Ernel beat Red 118-110 to advance to the Mix Juniors Seniors finals. Acub led the Violet with 26 points and was adjudged as the Giordano Best Player of the game while Garcia top-scored with 45 points for the Red Team.

In the JBL Teens, Violet beat Black 62-51 to grab the second seat of the Midget Division finals. Francisco and Romen top-scored with 26 points apiece. Green defeated Black 122-120 in the juniors semifinals. Usman scored 44 points. Blue beat Black 104-79 to enter the Mix Juniors Seniors semifinals.
