flyadeal welcomes third A320 aircraft, Al-Sayf

flyadeal, the Kingdom’s new low fare airline, has received its third new A320 aircraft at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, arriving from Airbus’ factory in Hamburg, Germany.
The third aircraft, whose name was chosen from a voting process launched on social media, is named “Al-Sayf” (the sword), following popular demand and an active engagement from flyadeal’s followers in Saudi Arabia. Al-Sayf flew over Jeddah, trailblazing its way on the axis of Prince Majid Road, where spectators got the chance to watch and enjoy the moment as they took memorable snapshots that were uploaded and shared on social media using the hashtag #Al-Sayf.
Con Korfiatis, CEO of flyadeal, said the fleet’s newest addition joins the ranks of Al-Nayyir and Suhail, thus increasing flyadeal’s seating capacity in Saudi Arabia. He said: “With our number of daily flights between Jeddah and Riyadh increasing to five per day from Oct. 25, Al-Sayf will allow us to consider additional destinations in the Kingdom and allow more customers to fly for less.”
Al-Sayf is the third of the initial fleet of eight A320 aircrafts, expected to be delivered in the next few months. “This confirms flyadeal’s vital role to support the aviation industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” added Korfiatis.
