Michael Cottan, executive vice president — operations, Middle East, India and the Indian Ocean for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, has revealed a number of regional projects for Shangri-La in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman.
The Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah will be housed in a 65-story development located on Jeddah Corniche Road facing the Red Sea. It will be a 236-room hotel and serviced residences with sea views.
Cottan also mentioned the group’s latest announcement, the 310,000-square-meter “Bahrain Marina” stretching along the coastline in the heart of the city.
Shangri-La Al-Husn Resort and Spa in Oman was relaunched as a private standalone resort. It features 180 rooms and suites.
