RIYADH: The Saudi Arabian Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have warned that a CC-Stick candy product manufactured in China poses a threat to children.

The FDA said that children could mistakenly consume plastic as they try to chew a plastic tube that pushes the sweet content of the candy out.

The FDA concluded that this may pose a danger for children’s health and safety.

The FDA then classified all types of CC-Stick products, and banned its entry to the local Saudi Arabian market.

In addition, the FDA recommended that all available stock be disposed of to prevent potential health problems for children.
