ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi International Airport released a statement on Thursday stating an incident involving a supply vehicle occurred at its Terminal 1 hub, according to reports in local daily, The National.
According to the statement, the incident happened at 4 p.m. local time, airside of the terminal, and that operations and flights had not been affected.
“Flights continue to arrive and depart as scheduled,” the statement read.
“Abu Dhabi Airports will continue to monitor the situation with the concerned authorities and further updates will be made available in due course.”
The statement came after unverified reports on the Houthi-run propaganda channel Al-Masirah TV, which claimed the Iran-backed terror group had targeted the airport with a drone.
Abu Dhabi Airports can confirm that there has been an incident involving a supply vehicle in Terminal 1 airside area of the airport at approximately 4:00 pm today.This incident has not affected operations at AUH and flights continue to arrive and depart as scheduled. (1/2)
