Jeddah Summer Festival 39 concludes with prize draws

The Jeddah Summer Festival 39 concluded at the Red Sea Mall after a month-long competition for 500 prizes worth SR1 million ($266,595). The festival, which was launched on June 25, included the first draw for a car among various other prizes, followed by the second draw with valuable prizes for gold and jewelry. The festival also included a balloon show and World Cup screenings.
The festival was organized by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), with the participation of the Ministry of Commerce, Jeddah Municipality, King Abdulaziz International Airport, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage and the General Entertainment Authority, with the strategic sponsorship of Red Sea Mall, and the participation of 10 major shopping centers.
Hassan bin Ibrahim Dahlan, secretary-general of the JCCI, said the chamber is continuously gaining experience from international methods to invest in the Saudi tourism product.
This year, the chamber is expecting to attract visitors and families from inside and outside the Kingdom with a variety of events in shopping centers, on the Jeddah corniche and various parts of Jeddah, ensuring new and innovative ways to exceed the expectations of the public during the summer vacation.
He stressed the keenness of the organizers of these events in highlighting the cultural dimension of the Makkah region and particularly Jeddah to take a significant leap in domestic tourism in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
Mohammed Alasiri, marketing manager at Red Sea Mall, said: “The mall has extended a strategic sponsorship for the Jeddah Summer Festival 39 as we believe in contributing toward the development of tourism specifically in Jeddah and across the Kingdom, in addition to contributing to the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 as a private sector entity. The mall continuously seeks to participate in entertainment, tourism and shopping activities in order to keep pace with the retail sector, offer new visitors and tourists the latest in retail, and give the mall a new look and feel.”
For the first time this year, the Jeddah Summer Festival hosted the Jeddah Summer Basketball Tournament for the Disabled, screening the football World Cup, the Air Village and a host of educational activities for women driving under “Let’s Drive,” in addition to the participation of several related sectors including tourist resorts, entertainment centers, shopping centers and restaurants in an event which is favored by families in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
