DUBAI: It has been a festive week for the part-Palestinian Hadid family, from Father’s Day to model Anwar Hadid’s birthday.
The youngest brother of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid celebrated his 21st birthday this week, with his family sharing heartfelt messages to mark the day.
His partner, British pop singer Dua Lipa, shared on Instagram a selection of pictures in which the couple are seen on dinner and beach dates and – off course – quarantine shenanigans such as dying Lipa’s hair red.
“Happy Birthday to my loveeee, my light n best goat daddy there is!!! Everything is better with you,” the “New Rules” hitmaker captioned the collage.
Just last week, the duo – who were first rumored to be a couple when they were spotted at a concert in London last year– celebrated their one-year anniversary.
The music sensation, famed for her top hits “New rules” and “One kiss,” wrote, “Nothing sweeter than 365 days being joint at the hip with you,” alongside a series of sweet snaps of Hadid.
The 24-year-old is currently self-isolating with her beau in an Airbnb in London amid the coronavirus crisis.
Lipa previously confessed she was “learning so much more” about Hadid during their time in quarantine together.
Speaking to People Magazine, she said: “It’s been really great - easy and fun and chill. We’ve been making the most of this because we got all this extra time that we weren’t expecting to just hang out. It’s been an absolute blast, and we're learning so much more about each other.”
Meanwhile, big sis Gigi Hadid also shared with her 54.7 million Instagram followers baby pictures of her with the birthday boy.
“Happiest Birthday to my sweet bruvvo @anwarhadid,” the mom-to-be wrote. “I am so proud of you and how you’ve spent your 21 years: passionate, inquisitive, loving, spreading genuine light, staying true to yourself, and standing firmly on the right side of history. You deserve the best always!!!”
Bella’s Instagram post, however, shared more than a sweet birthday wish. The supermodel also made an announcement. “For your birthday I will be donating to Doctors Without Borders specifically aiding the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. I know that is probably the only thing you want for your birthday,” the catwalk star wrote.
