DUBAI: She will soon be seen starring opposite Brad Pitt in the action thriller “Bullet Train,” but US actress Joey King is focusing on her current Netflix release, “The Kissing Booth 3,” set to hit the streaming platform this week.

The 22-year-old has been busy promoting the romantic comedy, and recently attended the second press day for the third installment of the franchise at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

For the occasion, King donned a modern and fashion-forward look that offered a lesson in color coordination.

She wore a red and white diamond-pattern sleeveless dress from Rowen Rose and accessorized the chic look with chunky black Dolce and Gabbana combat boots and a pair of black and red leather opera gloves. But it was her choice of handbag that caught the eye, King opting to carry a geometrical purse from Cairo-based accessories label Aliel.

The actress and her stylist Jared Eng chose the brand’s Farha bag in red. The snakeskin bag features a triangular top handle and a removable gold chain strap so it can be worn as a crossbody or tote. It boasts a metal embossed finish and is manufactured out of cowhide.

It turns out that King is an avid supporter of the up-and-coming Egyptian label and has been spotted wearing the brand’s designs on multiple outings. Recently, while promoting “The Kissing Booth 3,” the actress chose to accessorize her outfit with Aliel’s Sukoon bag and prior to that was seen championing its Horra bag in black.

Aliel was founded by Leila Abotira in 2017. The 29-year-old marketing graduate hails from a family that has been in the leather-manufacturing business for decades and she decided to launch her very own label.

“I always dreamed that one day Aliel would be celebrated globally,” Abotira told Arab News in a previous interview. And it appears that her dream has come to fruition as the rising Egyptian label has been championed by a number of global superstars, including US model Kylie Jenner.

Her geometric creations have also been spotted on the likes of American media personality Sofia Richie, Brazilian model Adriana Lima, Canadian actress Shay Mitchell, and English singer-songwriter Jessie J.
