NEW YORK: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan recently participated in the EU-Gulf Cooperation Council ministerial meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministry’s undersecretary for multilateral international affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi.
Prince Faisal met the head of the Libyan Transitional Council, Mohammed Al-Menfi, on the sidelines of the session.
They discussed bilateral relations and means to strengthen them in different fields to serve common interests.
They also discussed the need to support international efforts aiming to achieve stability, security, progress and prosperity in Libya. They exchanged views on regional and international issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by the Saudi ambassador to the UN, Abdallah Al-Mouallimi.
Prince Faisal also met his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi and his Costa Rican counterpart Rodolfo Solano.
In separate meetings, they discussed bilateral relations and means to support and promote them as well as reviewing regional and international topics of common interest.
