MORONI: A Saudi delegation led by Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Kattan, adviser at the Royal Court, on Wednesday visited Comoros and Madagascar.
The delegation met Comoros President Othman Ghazali and Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina.
During the receptions, Kattan conveyed King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s greetings and wishes for their governments and peoples to achieve further advancement and prosperity.
The parties discussed regional and international issues of common interest and bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the two East African countries.
The leaders expressed their countries’ full support for the Kingdom’s request to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh, with Kattan expressing the Saudi government’s gratitude for this backing and adding that the Kingdom would deliver an exceptional edition of the event to the world.
The Saudi delegation also visited countries in the southwest, center and east of Africa.
They met Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso, Namibian President Hage Geingob, Rwandan President Paul Kagame and Burundian President Evariste Ndayishimiye. The African leaders likewise expressed their countries’ support for the Kingdom’s request to host Expo 2030.
