Egypt FM reiterates call for peaceful solution during call with Ukrainian counterpart

LONDON: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Thursday stressed the need to continue all efforts to reach a truce and achieve a peaceful solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Speaking during a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba, Shoukry also stressed the importance of working toward halting the bloodshed, Egyptian foreign ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said.
Shoukry also said that his country was very keen in exerting all efforts to achieve an end to the crisis, which is almost entering its third month.
The phone call also dealt with bilateral relations, as well as the latest developments in the Ukrainian crisis. The Ukrainian minister briefed Shoukry on the latest developments on the ground and the humanitarian situation despite the ongoing military conflict.
