Saudi Arabia reports 1,033 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia reported 1,033 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health. As a result, the total number of cases in the Kingdom over the course of the pandemic grew to 781,168.

Authorities also confirmed three new COVID-19-related deaths, raising the total number of fatalities to 9,179.

Of the new infections, 396 were recorded in Riyadh, 154 in Jeddah, 113 in Dammam, 36 in Makkah, 33 in Hofuf, 28 in Madinah and 20 in Abha. Several other cities recorded fewer than 20 new cases each.

The ministry said that of the existing cases, 102 were in critical condition.

The ministry also announced that 861 patients had recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom over the course of the pandemic to 762,215.
